Seek Up by The Dave Matthews Band
This song keeps coming on and reminding me of Jaime and her beautiful soul. It is a hauntingly perfect song in the best of ways. Still feel so much adrenalin and heartbreak when I hear it 18 years later. Rushing to Jaime at the hospital for taking too many pills was a normal occurrence for a while. This time felt different...When I turned the keys and the ignition started, I heard Dave's haunting voice and this song. I knew deep down in my soul that it would be the last time I'd have to rush to the ER for an episode of Jaime'soverdose...She took too much...The song played for the entire 15-minute drive to the hospital, it ended when I pulled up. I remember blaring it so loud to keep my mind focused on the road and not the horror that was to come. It prepared me for what was to be...
