We've Gotta Get Out of this Place by the Animals

Feeling like this today:) Love the drums in this song. "And one thing I know is true, You'll be dead before your time is due..."

In this dirty old part of the city
Where the sun refuse to shine
People tell me there ain't no use in trying
Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true
You'll be dead before your time is due
I know

Watch my daddy in bed and tired
Watch his hair been turning gray
He's been working and slaving his life away
Oh yes, I know it
He's been working so hard
I've been working too babe
Every night and day
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
'Cause girl, there's a better life
For me and you

Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true, yeah
You'll be dead before your time is due
I know it

Watch my daddy in bed and tired
Watch his hair been turning gray
He's been working and slaving his life away
I know
He's been working so hard
I've been working too babe
Every day baby
Yeah yeah yeah yeah

We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl, there's a better life
For me and you

Somewhere baby
Somehow I know it baby
We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl, there's a better life for me and you
Believe me baby
I know it baby
You know it too

March wind will blow all my troubles away...

Chloe Dancer into Crown of Thorns performed by Pearl Jam

Reposting this because it is just fucking amazing. I can listen to it over and over:) I now have Chole Dancer so stuck in my head this weekend! "A dream like this must die..."

Chloe don't know better
Chloe's just like me, only beautiful
A couple of years difference
But those lasses never learn and you know

Chloe dances tables in the French Quarter
She's always been given
So I can't always make her laugh
But I tried to say and I won't forget
The time spent laying by her side, oh yeah, yeah
The time spent laying by her side, oh yeah, yeah
Dreams like this must die
And a dream like this must die
Dream like this must...

--------------------------------------------

You ever heard the story of Mr. Faded Glory?
Say he who rides a pony must someday fall
Oh I was talkin' to my alter, life is what you make it
And if you make it death well rest your soul away
Away, away, yeah child

It's a broken kind of feeling
She'd have to tie me to the ceiling
A bad moon's a comin' better say your prayers, child
I wanna tell you that I love you but does it really matter?
I just can't stand to see you dragging down, again
Again, my friend again, oh yeah

So I'm singing
This is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone,
And this is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone

I used to treat you like a lady
Now you're my substitute teacher
This bottle's not a pretty, not a pretty sight, yeah
I owe the man some money so I'm turnin over honey
See Mr. Faded Glory is once again doin' time, oh yeah

And this is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone, yes it does
And this is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's unkind and it's unkind and
It'll leave me alone, yeah

Like a crown of thorns
It's all who you know, yeah
So don't burn your bridges woman
Cause someday, yeah

Kick it!
And this is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone, yeah
And this is my kinda love
It's the kind that moves on
It's unkind and it's the kind that
Baby i said com' on, com' on, com' on,
Com' on yeah I said baby don't burn your bridges woman

Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull

Goofy dude, semi goofy song. Fun to listen to and watch no doubt;) "My words but a whisper, your deafness a shout..."

Really don't mind if you sit this one out
My words but a whisper, your deafness a shout
I may make you feel but I can't make you think
Your sperm's in the gutter, your love's in the sink

So you ride yourselves over the fields

And you make all your animal deals
And your wise men don't know how it feels
To be thick as a brick

And the sand castle virtues are all swept away
In the tidal destruction, the moral melee
The elastic retreat rings the close of play
As the last wave uncovers the newfangled way

But your new shoes are worn at the heels

And your suntan does rapidly peel
And your wise men don't know how it feels
To be thick as a brick

And the love that I feel is so far away
I'm a bad dream that I just had today
And you shake your head
And say that it's a shame

Spin me back down the years and the days of my youth
Draw the lace and black curtains and shut out the whole truth
Spin me down the long ages, let them sing the song

Boss DJ by Sublime

Sublime reminds me of the Spring time...not sure why...So wish he lived longer to make more music. Saw an amazing documentary on him and it was just heartbreaking. At least we have his music..."It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice..."

There's a steel train comin' through
I would take it if I could
And I would not lie to you because
Sunday mornin' soon will come
When things will be much easier to say
Upon the microphone like a boss D.J.
But I won't walk up upon the sea like it was dry land
Boss D.J. ain't nothin' but a man
No trouble, no fuss, I know why

It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice
It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice

Rumors are spreading all over my town
But it's just stones and sticks
'Cuz on the microphone is where I go to get my fix
Just let the lovin' take a hold 'cuz it will if you let it
I'm funky not a junkie but I know where to get it
No trouble, no fuss, I know why

It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice
It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice

Ooee girl, ooee girl, ooee girl
Ooee girl and there really ain't no time to waste
Really ain't no time to hate
Ain't got no time to waste, time to hate
Really ain't no time to make the time go away

So mister D.J. don't stop the music
I wanna know
Are you feelin' the same way too?
I wanna rock it with you girl
You girl, ooo girl

Don't stop

'Cuz it's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice
It's so nice, I wanna hear the same song twice

Nowadays all the songs on the radio
They all
All drive me crazy

Don't knock it till you try it

Smile by Pearl Jam

Totally diggin the harmonica and the steady beat of the drum...! "When the sun don't shine it don't shine at all, Don't it make you smile"

Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make you smile?
When the sun don't shine it don't shine at all.
Don't it make you smile?

Don't it make you smile?
Don't it make me smile?
When the sun don't shine, it don't shine at all
Don't it make me smile?

I miss you already... I miss you always
I miss you already... I miss you all day
This is how I feel...

I miss you already... I miss you always
Three crooked hearts, swirls all around.
I miss you always!

Can't Find My Way Home performed by Allman Brothers and Jimmy Vivino

Great version of this song. Video is all shaky but it still rocks! Just listen don't watch..."But I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time, And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home..."

Come down off your throne
And leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason
I've been waiting so long.
Somebody holds the key.

But I'm near the end and
I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and
I can't find my way home.

Come down on your own
And leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason
I've been waiting all these years.
Somebody holds the key.

But I'm near the end and
I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and
I can't find my way home.

But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
Still I can't find my way home,
And I ain't done nothing wrong,
But I can't find my way home.

Indifference by Pearl Jam

Love this fucking song!!! The bass makes it for me. Slow and steady the entire song;) "I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind, And I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind!!!"

I will light the match this mornin', so I won't be alone
Oh, watch as she lies silent, for soon night will be gone
I will stand arms outstretched, pretend I'm free to roam
Oh, I will make my way, through one more day in hell

How much difference does it make
Oh, how much difference does it make

I will hold the candle till it burns up my arm
Oh, I'll keep takin' punches until their will grows tired
I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind
And I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind

How much difference does it make
Oh, how much difference does it make

I'll swallow poison, until I grow immune
I will scream my lungs out till it fills this room
How much difference does it make
Oh, how much difference does it make
Oh, how much difference does it make
Oh, how much difference does it make

Ded Hed

Hello fellow dead head driving in front of me:)

Burn One Down by Ben Harper

Beautiful Spring day! Perfect day for this song. "If you don't like my fire then don't come around, Cause I AM GOING TO BURN ONE DOWN! Yes we are going to burn one down!!!!

Let us burn one, from end to end.
And pass is over to me my friend.
Burn it long, but burn it slow,
To light me up before I go.

If you don't like my fire, then don't come around.
Cause I'm gonna burn one down.
Yes I'm gonna burn one down

So my choice is what I chose to do;
And if I'm causin no harm,
It shouldn't bother you.
Your choice is who you chose to be;
And if your causin to harm, then your alright with me.

If you don't like my fire, then don't come around,
Cause I'm gonna burn one down.
Yes we are gonna burn one, down.

Herb the gift, from the Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And what's from the earth is of the greatest worth.
So before you knock it, try it first.
And you'll see it's a blessing and it's not a curse.

If you don't like my fire, then don't come around,
Cause we are gonna burn one down.
Yes i'm gonna burn one.

Ramble on Rose by the Grateful Dead

Hoping to hear this one tonight! Can not wait to hear some live music!!! "The grass ain't greener, the wine ain't sweeter, Either side of the hill..."

Just like Jack the Ripper
Just like Mojo Hand
Just like Billy Sunday
In a shotgun rag-time band

Just like New York City
Just like Jericho
Pace the halls and climb the walls
And get out when they blow

Did you say your name was Rambling Rose?
Ramble on baby, settle down easy
Ramble on Rose

Just like Jack and Jill
Mama told the sailor
One heat up and one cool down
Leave nothing for the tailor

Just like Jack and Jill
Papa told the jailor
One heat up and one cool down
Do yourself a favor

Did you say your name was Rambling Rose?
Ramble on baby, settle down easy
Ramble on Rose

I'm gonna sing you
A hundred verses of ragtime
I know this song
It ain't never gonna end
I'm gonna march you up and down
Along the county line
Take you to the leader
Of the band

Just like Crazy Otto
Just like Wolfman Jack
Sitting plush with a royal flush
Aces back to back

Just like Mary Shelley
Just like Frankenstein
Break your chains and count your change
And try to walk the line

Did you say your name was Rambling Rose?
Ramble on baby, settle down easy
Ramble on Rose

I'm gonna sing you
A hundred verses of ragtime
I know this song
It ain't never gonna end
I'm gonna march you up and down
Along the county line
Take you to the leader
Of the band

Goodbye Mama and Papa
Goodbye Jack and Jill
The grass ain't greener, the wine ain't sweeter
Either side of the hill

Did you say your name was Rambling Rose?
Ramble on baby, settle down easy
Ramble on Rose

Students shirt made me happy!

Shine on You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd

This song reminds me of a little girl I knew who killed herself when she had just turned fifteen. I used to babysit her and can still see her as a happy little chunky toddler. I was so upset about it, still can't understand it, and for some reason this is the song that always comes to mind when I think of her. Long video but well worth it! "You reached for your secret too soon, you cried for the moon..."

Remember when you were young,
You shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

Now there's a look in your eyes,
Like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

You were caught in the cross fire of childhood and stardom.
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter.
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon,
You cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond!!!

Threatened by shadows at night,
And exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

Well you wore out your welcome with random precision.
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions.
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Immortality by Pearl Jam

Feeling blue and this song fits! I actually listen to this song all the time. When I was in 8th grade I saved up all my money and went to a music convention at the old Valley Forge Convention Center and bought my first music paraphernalia, a VHS of a PJ concert from the early 90's. The beginning;) AMAZING version of this song!!! "Vengeance has no place so near to her, Cannot find the comfort in this world..."

Vacate is the word,
Vengeance has no place so near to her
Cannot find the comfort in this world

Artificial tears,
Vessel stabbed next up volunteers
Vulnerable, wisdom can't adhere

A truant finds home and a wish to hold on
But there's a trapdoor in the sun,
Immortality

As privileged as a whore,
Victims in demand for public show
Swept out through the cracks beneath the door

Holier than thou, how?
Surrendered, executed anyhow
Scrawl dissolved, cigar box on the floor

A truant finds home and a wish to hold on to
But there's a trapdoor in the sun,
Immortality

I cannot stop the thought
Of runnin' in the dark
Comin' up a which way sign,
All good truants must decide
Oh, stripped and sold, mom,
An auctioned forearm
And whispers in the sand
Truants move on, cannot stay long
Some die just to live

Got my tickets for Lynard Skynard this summer. First summer concert tickets purchased. Can not effing wait for the warm weather and good live music!!!! Love this song and all it's words! I perfect song from a parent to a child. "Oh take your time don't live too fast, troubles will come and they will pass..."
Z-"All that I want for you my son is to be satisfied!!!!"

Mama told me when I was young
Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say
And if you do this it'll help you some sunny day

Oh, take your time don't live too fast
Troubles will come and they will pass
Go find a woman you'll find love
And don't forget son there is someone up above

And be a simple kind of man
Be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me son if you can?

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try
All that I want for you my son is to be satisfied

And be a simple kind of man
Be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me son if you can? Oh yes, I will

Boy, don't you worry you'll find yourself
Follow your heart and nothing else
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try
All that I want for you my son is to be satisfied

And be a simple kind of man
Be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me son if you can?

Baby be a simple, be a simple man
Be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man

Crazy Mary by Pearl Jam

First discovered this song twenty plus years ago when I was in seventh grade. My friends older sister was listening to it with her boyfriend and I thought it was so cool;) To be young again. I love this song 100 times more now that I am in my 30's!!! "That what you fear the most could meet you half way..."

She lived on a curve in the road, in an old tar-paper shack
On the south side of the town, on the wrong side of the tracks
Sometimes on the way into town we'd say:
"Mama, can we stop and give her a ride?"
Sometimes we did but her hands flew from her side
Wild eyed, crazy Mary

Down a long dirt road, past the Parson's place
The old blue car we used to race
Little country store with a sign tacked to the side
Said "No L-O-I-T-E-R-I-N-G allowed"
Underneath that sign always congregated quite a crowd

Take a bottle, drink it down, pass it around
Take a bottle, drink it down, pass it around
Take a bottle, drink it down, pass it around

One night thunder cracked mercy backed outside her windowsill
Dreamed I was flying high above the trees, over the hills
Looked down into the house of Mary
Bare bulb blown, newspaper-covered walls
And Mary rising up above it all

Next morning on the way into town
Saw some skid marks, and followed them around
Over the curb, through the fields, into the house of Mary

That what you fear the most, could meet you halfway
That what you fear the most, could meet you halfway

Take a bottle, drink it down, pass it around
Take a bottle, drink it down, pass it around
Take a bottle, drink it down, pass it around

Plato says...

Little Black Submarine by the Black Keys

This music video is motivating me to go out and see a live band tonight;)- I guess it's doing it's job right... K and I like to blare this one in the car! "Operator please, Pass me back to my mind..."

Little black submarines
Operator please
Put me back on the line
Told my girl I'd be back
Operator please
This is wrecking my mind

Oh, can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost and out of time
I should've seen it glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind

Pick you up, let you down
When I wanna go
To a place I can hide
You know me, I had plans
But they just disappeared
To the back of my mind

Oh, can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost and out of time
I should've seen it glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind

Treasure maps, falling trees
Operator please
Call me back when it's time
Stolen friends and disease
Operator please
Pass me back to my mind

Oh, can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost and out of time
I should've seen it go
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind

Amongst the Waves by Pearl Jam

Love this fucking song! I know I say it a lot. But I really mean it a lot in this case. "I gotta say it now, Better loud than too late..."

What used to be a house of cards
Has turned into a reservoir
Save the tears that were waterfalling
Let's go swim tonight, darling

And once outside the undertow
Just you and me, and nothing more
If not for love, I would be drowning
I've seen it work both ways

But I am up riding high amongst the waves
Where I can feel like I
Have a soul that has been saved
Where I can feel like I've
Put away my early grave
I gotta say it now
Better loud than too late

Remember back, the early days
When you were young, and less amazed
Suddenly the channel changed
The first time you saw blood

Cut to later, now you're strong
You've bled yourself, the wounds are gone
It's rare when there is nothing wrong
Survived and you're amongst the fittest
Love ain't love until you feel it

Up riding high amongst the waves
I can feel like I
Have a soul that has been saved
I can see the light
Coming through the clouds in rays
I gotta say it now
Better loud than too late
I gotta say it now
Better loud than too late

Hey...yeah...

Riding high amongst the waves
I can feel like I
Have a soul that has been saved
I can see the light
Coming through the clouds in rays
I gotta say it now
Better loud than too late
I gotta say it now
Better loud than too late
Say it now
Better loud than too late

Over the Hill and Far Away by Led Zeppelin

Vocals don't sound to hot, but everything else does!!! Love the guitar solo in this version! "Many have I loved, Many times been bitten, Many times I've gazed along the open road!!!"

Hey lady, you got the love I need
Maybe more than enough.
Oh Darling, walk a while with me
You've got so much, so much....

Many have I loved
Many times been bitten
Many times I've gazed along the open road.

Many times I've lied
Many times I've listened
Many times I've wondered how much there is to know.

Many dreams come true and some have silver linings
I live for my dream and a pocketful of gold.

Mellow is the man who knows what he's been missing
Many many men can't see the open road.

Many is a word that only leaves you guessing
Guessing 'bout a thing you really ought to know, ooh!
You really ought to know...

TOTALLY!!!!

Kashmir performed by Alice in Chains...

Totally love this version of this song!!!! "Oh, father of the four winds, Fill my sails, across the sea of years, With no provision but an open face, Long the straits of fear..."

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face
Stars to fill my dreams
I am a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been

Secret elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace
Whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Woah, woah

Ooh, oh baby I been flying
Lord yeah mama, there ain't no denyin'
Oh, ooh yes, I've been flying
Mama ma, ain't no denyin', no denyin'

Oh all I see turns to brown as the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand as I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find where I been

Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like thoughts inside a dream
Heed the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert screen

My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon
I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high in June
When movin' through Kashmir

Oh, father of the four winds
Fill my sails, across the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
'Long the straits of fear
Woah, woah, woah

Oh

Well, when I want
When I'm on my way, yeah
When I see
When I see the way, you stay, yeah

Ooh, yeah yeah, ooh, yeah yeah, well I'm down, yes
Ooh, yeah yeah, ooh, yeah yeah, well I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, ooh, my baby, let me take you there

Oh oh, come on, come on
Oh, let me take you there
Let me take you there
Ooh, yeah yeah, ooh, yeah yeah

Down by the River by Neil Young

"She can drag me over the rainbow..."

Happy Birthday Kels. This was your first favorite song! I used to tell you it was "I got my baby" instead of "I shot my baby";) You were a little quick for me and picked it up within a month. This was your first song of choice for a good year of your life. We listened to this song obsessively bc it was you loved to sing the words!

You are my dream come true! Smile always and make sure you see and appreciate as many sunrises as you can;)

Soulshine by Allman Brothers

I need some soulshine this morning. One of my top seven favorite songs;) Very true words that make me feel real good inside! "Let your soul shine, It's better than sunshine, It's better than moonshine, Damn sure better than rain."

When you can't find the light,
That got you through a cloudy day,
When the stars ain't shinin' bright,
You feel like you've lost you're way,
When those candle lights of home,
Burn so very far away,
Now you got to let your soul shine,
Just like my daddy used to say.

He used to say soulshine,
It's better than sunshine,
It's better than moonshine,
Damn sure better than rain.
Yeah now people don't mind,
We all get this way sometime,
Got to let your soul shine, shine till the break of day.

I grew up thinkin' that I had it made,
Gonna make it on my own.
Life can take the strongest man,
Make him feel so alone.
Now sometimes I feel a cold wind,
Blowin' through my achin' bones,
I think back to what my daddy said,
He said "Boy, in the darkness before the dawn:"

Let your soul shine,
It's better than sunshine,
It's better than moonshine,
Damn sure better than rain.
Yeah now people don't mind,
We all get this way sometimes,
Gotta let your soul shine, shine till the break of day.

Sometimes a man can feel this emptiness,
Like a woman has robbed him of his very soul.
A woman too, God knows, she can feel like this.
And when your world seems cold, you got to let your spirit take control.

Let your soul shine,
It's better than sunshine,
It's better than moonshine,
Damn sure better than rain.
Lord now people don't mind,
We all get this way sometimes,
Gotta let your soul shine, shine till the break of day.

Oh, it's better than sunshine,
It's better than moonshine,
Damn sure better than rain.
Yeah now people don't mind,
We all get this way sometimes,
Gotta let your soul shine, shine till the break of day.

My My Hey Hey by Neil Young

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/video-neil-young-and-crazy-horse-play-hey-hey-my-my-at-2013-tour-kick-off-20130304

He opened with guns blazing! His guitar skills definitely outdo his voice in this version of this song. One of my favorite Neil Young songs!!! "Hey hey, my my, Rock and roll can never die, There's more to the picture, Than meets the eye. Hey hey, my my."

My my, hey hey
Rock and roll is here to stay
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away
My my, hey hey.

Out of the blue
and into the black
They give you this,
but you pay for that
And once you're gone,
you can't come back
When you're out of the blue
and into the black.

The king is gone
but he's not forgotten
This is the story
of a Johnny Rotten
It's better to burn out
because rust never sleeps
The king is gone
The king is gone

Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There's more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my.

Can't Find My Way Home by Blind Faith

Told recently by a loved one that I am out of style. You know what I said: THANK GOODNESS! Some people just don't get it. The people in this video totally do;) Love all versions of this song!

Come down off your throne
and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason
I've been waiting so long.
Somebody holds the key.

But I'm near the end and
I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and
I can't find my way home.

Come down on your own
and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason
I've been waiting all these years.
Somebody holds the key.

But I'm near the end and
I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and
I can't find my way home.

But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
But I can't find my way home.
Still I can't find my way home,
And I ain't done nothing wrong,
But I can't find my way home.

No One to Run With by the Allman Brothers

No band can jam like the Allman Brothers!!! Best live band to see by far! Love the scene and people that goes along with the Allman Brothers. Must be my southern roots:) "I'm gonna hit the road, adios my friend, Go someplace and start all over again..."

Everybody wants to know where Jimmy has gone
He left town, I doubt if he's coming back home
Well Tony got a job, three kids and a lovely wife
Working at the commerce bank for the rest of his life

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody left to do the crazy things we used to do before
Nobody left to run with anymore

I'm gonna hit the road, adios my friend
Go someplace and start all over again
Don't know where I'm going, like a gypsy out on the road
I'll go someplace and join a traveling show

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody wants to do the crazy things we used to do before
Nobody left to run with anymore

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody left to run with anymore

I think Jimmy must have had the right idea
Packed his stuff and he got right out of here
I don't know where he's at but I'm sure that he's ok
Now I realize what Jimmy was trying to say

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody wants to do the crazy things we used to do before
Nobody left to run with anymore

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody left to run with anymore

Drumming it up

Saying this guys rocks at playing the drums is putting it mildly! Love this compilation.  It's a rarity to just listen to the drums with no other instruments... This has made think otherwise;)

The Seeker by the Who

Gotta love The Who! One of my dads favorite bands that I was forced to listen to as a child. Thank goodness he never changed the channels!!! Happy Birthday to Roger Daltrey. These are some lyrics I live by: "I learned how to raise my voice in anger, Yeah, but look at my face, ain't this a smile?" Kill them with kindness k and z;)

I've looked under chairs
I've looked under tables
I've tried to find the key
To fifty million fables

They call me 'The Seeker'
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I asked Bobby Dylan
I asked The Beatles
I asked Timothy Leary
But he couldn't help me either

They call me 'The Seeker'
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

People tend to hate me
'Cause I never smile
As I ransack their homes
They wanna shake my hand

Focusing on nowhere
Investigating miles
I'm a seeker
I'm a really desperate man

I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I learned how to raise my voice in anger
Yeah, but look at my face, ain't this a smile?
I'm happy when life's good and when it's bad I cry
I've got values but I don't know how or why

I'm looking for me
You're looking for you
We're looking in at each other
And we don't know what to do

They call me 'The Seeker'
I've been searching low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die

I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die
